CLASSICAL CHARTER SCHOOL

New four story 50,000 sf K-8 charter school in the South Bronx. The school includes a full indoor gym, cafeteria, special event lobby and classrooms for kindergarten through 8th grade. The building complies with the most current NYC energy code requirements for air barrier continuity, continuous insulation and a stormwater management blue roof. A fiber cement rainscreen system, glass curtain wall and storefront systems, and stone veneer was utilized on the exterior of the building to create a modern take on classical design for this school. Completed 2021 with KSS Architects.
